Whole Brain Thinking

Here is a simple and very effective exercise to promote whole-brain functioning.

  1. Think of "flow" as you hand write (not print) the alphabet as a continuous stream (keep your pen ON the paper) with your normal writing hand. A couple of times will do.

  2. While thinking of "flow" again, write out the alphabet in the same fashion using your OTHER hand.

  3. Now back to your normal hand, full alphabet. Continue alternating hands and writing the alphabet until you feel the same flow using either hand (about 5 times with each hand). Then with your normal hand write out the alphabet twice more at the end.

You may be surprised at the changes that occur as a result. Integrates language/information and artistry/creativity. Also, usually improves your handwriting.

Enjoy,
